Camps Reservoir Circular

This leisurely stroll in Crawford provides a peaceful and undemanding experience, offering picturesque views of the nearby hills. At just under 6 miles this circular walk should take 3 to 3.5 hours to complete. The route guarantees seclusion and a good opportunity for exercise. Starting from the village of Crawford on the A702, accessible from junction 14 of the M74 motorway, the walk leads to the reservoir by taking the minor road towards the ‘Reservoir’. Upon nearing the dam, veer right at the road junction and park on the grass verge.

After parking, proceed up the road, cross the cattle grid, and pass through a gate. Then, veer right and cross the dam before bearing right again to follow the track around the reservoir. Additional directions are not required, as you can simply walk along the reservoir’s shore and admire the beautiful views. For those who want to enjoy the scenery and perhaps take a break, three hours should be enough.
